Q- How long does a makeup application take?
A- 45mins- 1 hour. This really depends on the style of makeup wanted. Makeup lessons take either 1 hour for a natural day look or 1&1/2 hours for a day to evening lesson look. Please allow an extra 10 mins for us to set up if we are coming to you.

Q- What do I need to have ready before a makeup application?
A- You will need to have a chair (office/dining chair is fine), a cleared table or bench space. If possible, have fresh cleansed skin so we can get right into the makeup application. Feel free to bring a picture of a makeup style that you like if you have a certain look that you are after. If you are not sure of what you want, then we can discuss a look that will work for you before we start.

Q- What makeup/ hair products do you use?
A- We use mostly m.a.c products however we do also carry a few other high end makeup brands. We use a range of hair products (Kevin Murphy, Wella, Sebastian, Swartzkoft). We only use salon quality hair products to give a professional finish to hair.

Q- How long will my makeup last for?
A- Your makeup will last all day and night providing you look after it. We take a lot of care to prep and prime the skin. We use high end makeup products which are great for staying in place. What I suggust is to have a powder and lippy that you carry in your purse. This is so that you can blot down any shine, and reapply lippy when needed for touchups throughout the day/night.

Q- Will I need touch up products to carry with me?
A- We suggust to have you own powder and lippy to carry with you for touchups. If it is your wedding day, then have someone hold a little purse with a few touch up items for you. Most brides get emotional on their big day so we suggust to have a few tissues, cotton buds, concealer, powder and lippy handy just in case of tears. We do use smudge proof products, but its good to have them there just in case.

Q- Do you have a travel fee, and how far will you travel?
A- Travel is complimentry in the central Auckland area, from the city side of the bridge to Manukau. Any distance outside this area, a travel fee may apply. We will travel most places if our time/travel is paid for.

Q- Do I need a wedding trial?
A- Yes, it is best to have a trial before your big day. It is one of the most important days of your life and you need to have everything perfect. It will be one less thing to stress about on your wedding day because you will know what to expect. We will discuss everything, and then do a makeup trial to get the look that you are after. You are welcome to have a couple of pictures of a look that you like with you but this is not necessary. Try and have your trial done before a special night out to get the most of your gorgeous look. If you would like a friend to join you, thats fine. More then one person attending a trial is not reccomended as this can confuse your makeup vision. Contact Serenity Makeup to find out more.

Q- When should I have my wedding trial?
A- It's up to you when you would like to book your trial with us however it is best to have your wedding trial 1 to 2 months in advance. This way, your final look will be fresh in your mind and it then it will be one less thing to worry about! It can be a good idea to do your trial when you have a night out organised to make the most of your beautiful makeup.
