A makeup lesson is a one on one tutorial with Serenity, who will show you step by step the techniques needed to create a flawless look. Lessons can be anything from learning a natural day look, changing your makeup routine, or achieving that desired smokey eye for your next night out!

Whatever you would like to learn, have Serenity teach you all that you need to know to recreate your very own personalised look at home.

Pricing

  • 1.5 hours | $250

    A one on one lesson with Serenity who will tailor the lesson to anything you need, so that you feel confident in looking and feeling your best naturally.

  • 2 hours | $300

    A one on one lesson with Serenity who will help you as a beginner to makeup, learn how to do a natural look that will make you feel confident in looking and feeling your best naturally.

  • 2 hours | $300

    A one on one lesson. Whether you would like to learn how to do makeup for a night out on the town, or to wear to a special occasion, Serenity will give you the confidence to make yourself look 100% glam.  Teaching you a look that you feel comfortable wearing, she will share her simple tips and tricks so you will be able to master a beautiful evening look for yourself.

    Please note one-on-one lessons with Serenity are conducted at Serenity Studio in Glen Innes, Auckland.

  • 3 hours | $400

    Do you have a drawer full of makeup that you;

    A) don’t know how to use?

    B) think may have expired?

    C) don’t know where to start?

    D) don’t have the confidence to use?

    Bring all your makeup to Serenity, and she will help you sort it out. Then, she will give you a lesson on how to use the products that you already own and that best suit you, also leaving you with any recommendations of products that could be helpful to add if/ where needed.

    Have confidence to look and feel amazing every day using products that are in your own makeup drawer.

    Please note one-on-one lessons with Serenity are conducted at Serenity Studio in Glen Innes, Auckland.

  • Booking Deposit – All bookings require a deposit to secure your date/ time booked.  Upon booking confirmation from us, we will send you an invoice with all the details of your booking.  

    Please then make a bank transfer deposit to the Serenity Makeup Account 12-3287-0190449-00, and  use your invoice number as the reference. The remaining amount (minus your deposit amount), will be due on the date as noted on this invoice. No bookings are secure until the deposit has been paid.  To avoid disappointment, please send a screenshot of the deposit payment, as until we receive your proof of deposit, your preferred time/artist will not be confirmed and we may take other bookings. 

    - Lesson bookings require a $50 deposit to secure your booking date/ time.

    - Deposits are non-refundable.

    - Refunds of any kind are up to the discretion of Serenity Makeup.

    Standard Location - Lessons with Serenity will be at her home Studio in Glen Innes.

    Add ons - False lashes are $20 should you wish to add these to your lesson.

    Instruction Process - Serenity will supply you with a face chart so that you can take notes during the lesson, which is great for you to refer to after the lesson.

    Serenity will teach you by applying makeup to one side of your face, and will have you copy on the other side.  This is so that you feel comfortable with each technique, and she can also correct anything she sees you doing that you might find easier doing another way.

    Lessons with a Friend - A lesson with a friend can be arranged.  Please enquire on pricing and the timing.

    Group Lessons- A group lesson at your location can be arranged. Please enquire giving us details of what you are wanting and we can send you some options and a quote.

    Gifting a Lesson - Why not make it a gift? Gift Vouchers are available.

    Makeup Preparation- Skin is required to be clean with a non oily moisturiser applied before your appointment.  Sunscreen that is safe for the face and non oily can be lightly applied if it is desired.

    Cancellations – Any cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will be invoiced and required to pay the full amount booked for.

    Early morning bookings – For bookings starting prior to 7am, there will be an early morning fee charged to your booking (per artist booked).  Please enquire.

    Public Holidays– Sorry we don't work on Public Holiday long weekends.

    Serenity has over 20 years experience in the industry.  She has taught numerous women of all ages and skintones how to create an everyday look for themselves by using tips and tricks that makeup artists use in the makeup industry.

    Have you ever wondered how to get glowing, more beautiful and youthful looking skin, or how to achieve a stunning smokey eye? Maybe you have a darker skintone and find it hard to get the right foundation match or to get rid of darkness under the eyes. Serenity can show you simple techniques that will take less time but with better results. Bring out the makeup artist in you and book a makeup lesson with Serenity today!

  • From skincare to lip colour, step by step, Serenity will show you how to apply makeup on one side of your face, while you copy on the other side of your face. By doing this, it will help you remember the steps when you are doing it yourself in the future.

    Serenity will provide you with a face chart so you can write down all the products she uses and the order to do them in.  This way, you have a guide to follow if/when you need it in the future.

  • A makeup lesson with Serenity will take up to 1.5  hours for a natural day look and up to 2 hours for a more glam/ evening look. If you want to spend longer on a lesson, or if you want to try different makeup looks, then you can discuss this when making your booking and we can book in the extra time needed, (this will cost extra), or you can ask Serenity if you can book longer if she has time on the day to extend the lesson. 

    We also offer makeup and hair lessons at the studio which take up to 3 hours, and the ultimate makeup lesson which is 3-3.5 hours with Serenity at your home.

    Please also allow 10 mins for setting up and packing down the makeup kit if Serenity is coming to you.
